Jaden Smith To Wax On/Wax Off: Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, is set to star in a remake of the beloved 80’s classic, “The Karate Kid,” Variety reports. The film will be set in a slew of international locations, including Beijing, but will borrow themes and elements from the original film, which starred Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita. No word if the evil leg-sweeping guys from the Cobra Kai dojo will return. And, we’re not sold on this remake until we see Jaden’s one-legged crane kick!

John Mayer Says He’s Still All Sunshine: If you’ve been getting a bad vibe from John Mayer lately, the singer would like you to know that you’re wrong. “I am not darker, angrier or moodier these days. In fact, it’s just the opposite,” the singer and Jennifer Aniston pal wrote on his Web site Monday. “All that’s happened is that I’ve given up on trying to find a way to use unwanted media as a form of entertainment. Magazine that reports of a feud between Lindsay Lohan and America Ferrera were “blown out of proportion,” but Vanessa does shed some possible light on what happened. “America is the consummate professional,” Vanessa told the mag at Monday night’s Mayor’s Awards ceremony at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. “She works very hard, and she’s also she’s very invested in her character. Fellow diner Lionel Richie even stopped by the table to wish Kris a happy birthday.
