Brad Pitt Gets Award For Best Actor At Venice International Film Festival, One Year Later
The Venice International Film Festival honored Brad Pitt with its Best Actor trophy on Wednesday, People reported — but not for one of this year’s films. The award was held for him since winning last year for “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.”
Brad is at the festival for his latest, “Burn After Reading,” the Coen brothers’ dark comedy in which he costars with frequent screen partner George Clooney. Pitt plays a gym employee who stumbles upon a disc of secret CIA information.

The oldest of three siblings, Brad grew up in Missouri and made his way to California post-college to seek fame, and hopefully, fortune. He first hit the acting scene in 1987 with a string of television appearances on shows like “Dallas,” “Head of the Class” and “Thirtysomething.” Brad’s first notable movie exposure (including a hot semi-nude shot) came in “Thelma and Louise,” although his first high-profile starring role didn’t come until the following year, in 1992’s “A River Runs Through It.”
Along the way, Brad has generated romantic headlines with top tier actresses such as Gwynth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston (whom he married) and currently with Angelina Jolie, as one half of the couple everyone loves to love.
He’s an actor who’s easy to admire and it seems there’s been no stopping the affable cutie who remains perpetually at the top of everyone’s everything list.
