Britney’s Manager: ‘Britney Spears Will Not Be Performing At The VMAs’
Britney Spears will not be performing at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, Ryan Seacrest reported on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on Monday morning.
Quoting Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, Seacrest said, “Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year. I’m telling you officially and unequivocally.”
According to Seacrest, Rudolph told him that Britney was “in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and was never supposed to perform at the show.”

Perhaps no single individual has captured the public’s fascination with celebrity so complexly in recent years, as Ms. Spears. Britney has become a riddle whose solution hasn’t been revealed. She’s talented, relentlessly driven and more than just a little bit self-destructive. From her place as one of the best-selling female artists of the last decade, she has taken more than a few risks, raised tons of eyebrows, and continues to produce appealing and successful music for her adoring fans.

Britney was married to her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander for just 55 hours, in 2004.
