Italian con man Raffaello Follieri, who went from dating actress Anne Hathaway to serving a prison term for fraud, isn’t enjoying the “unspeakably unsanitary” conditions at a federal jail in Brooklyn.
Follieri’s lawyer sent a letter to a judge this week complaining about the facility.

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, will spend the next four-and-a-half years of his life in prison, a judge ruled on Thursday.
Follieri was sentenced to 54 months behind bars and three years probation on Thursday, after pleading guilty to 14 counts of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering in a New York courtroom last month.
Last week, Follieri had asked the court to reduce his sentence to just 36 months, after initially agreeing to serve four-plus years behind bars as part of his plea deal.

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, will sit in a Manhattan jail for at least an extra week — and it’s actually his choice.
While no one at the U.S. Attorneys office in New York would comment, Access Hollywood has learned that Follieri, who was slated to learn his fate on September 5, stemming from 12 counts, including wire fraud and money laundering, asked that a grand jury’s preliminary hearing be postponed another week until September 12.
According to a law enforcement source, on September 12, three possible scenarios can take place — a grand jury will decide whether or not to indict him; he can plead guilty; or the case will again be pushed back.
