When the show returns for its seventh season this fall it will be revealed that Clark Kent is not the only member of his family to survive the destruction of the planet Krypton. His cousin Kara was sent to Earth in a ship that arrived at the same time as baby Kal-Els, Gough reportedly revealed, referring to Clark by his Kryptonian name. But there was a problem and shes been in suspended animation for the last 16 years. Well find out in the season premiere that the big dam break in last seasons finale is the reason shes finally awoken. Gough said that Kara will have all of Clark’s powers, including a couple he hasn’t fully discovered for himself yet. She will reportedly appear in about half of next season’s episodes. A casting announcement is expected at Julys Comic-Con International in San Diego.
