Mary-Kate Olsen is coming back to primetime with a guest spot on Christina Applegate’s “Samantha Who,” and the actress will get in touch with her dark side in the name of comedy.
In the episode, Mary-Kate plays a troubled young woman that Samantha meets while doing community service following an arrest, Access Hollywood has learned.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office investigation into the death of “The Dark Knight” star Heath Ledger has been dropped, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to the Associated Press.

As the investigation surrounding Heath Ledger’s accidental overdose continues, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration office in New York has confirmed to Access Hollywood that they have issued a subpoena that would force Mary-Kate Olsen to testify in front of a grand jury.
Five medications were found in Heath’s body at the time of his death, according to the DEA, three of which he’d obtained via doctors in Texas and Los Angeles. At the center of the investigation is how he acquired Oxycontin and Vicodin without a legal prescription.

The franchise has been reimagined and pitched to Mattel as a classic good vs. evil battle, using the kind of visual effects strategy employed in “300.” A warrior is touted as the last hope of a magical land called Eternia, which is being ravaged by technology and the evil Skeletor. Despite internet rumors of casting possibilities for the lead role (which have included Brad Pitt, among others), VARIETY reports that no official casting decisions have been made as of yet.
